Jesse Mills, violin

Since his concerto debut at the Ravinia Festival, violinist Jesse Mills has established a unique career, performing music from classical to contemporary, as well as composed and improvised music of his own invention.  Mills earned two Grammy nominations for his work on several discs of Arnold Schoenberg's music, released by NAXOS. As a composer and arranger, Mills has been commissioned by Columbia University’s Miller Theatre and Chamber Music Northwest in Portland, OR.

Lithuanian pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute’s powerfully and intricately crafted performances have earned her critical acclaim throughout North America and Europe. Her ability to communicate the essential substance of a work has led critics to describe her as possessing ‘”razor-sharp intelligence and wit” and “subtle, complex, almost impossibly detailed and riveting in every way” (The Washington Post).

Kurt Rohde, Composer-in-Residence

Musician Kurt Rohde plays viola, teaches and composes. He lives in San Francisco with his husband Tim and their dog Hendrix. In addition to enjoying double IPAs, endless off-beat films, and long distant running, he plays viola and is Artistic Advisor with the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, Artistic Director of the Composers Conference, a curator at the Center for New Music, and teaches music composition at UC Davis.

Romie de Guise-Langlois, clarinet

Praised as “extraordinary” and “a formidable clarinetist” by The New York Times, Romie de Guise-Langlois has appeared as soloist and chamber musician on major concert stages throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia. She has performed as soloist with the Houston Symphony, the Burlington Chamber Orchestra, the Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble ACJW, and at Festival Mozaic, Sarasota Music Festival, Music@Menlo and Banff Center for the Arts.
