SUMMARY:Music in the Barn Early Summer Benefit
DESCRIPTION:Guests may enjoy the grounds to view the gardens and the pond of this private country home\, and have a beverage and mingle as they arrive for the dinner concert benefit. The afternoon chamber music concert is at about 4:30 pm\, with informal discussion and classical improv (to a likely backdrop of nature’s own sound effects from the bullfrogs and birds!) in a rustic barn on the property.  \n\nProgram\nFauré – Slow movement from String Quartet Improvisations & a violin solo\nStravinsky – Danse from 3 Pieces for String Quartet\nTakemitsu – Air for solo flute \n    Dining al fresco with the musicians follows the concert and offers a veritable feast of choices from salmon mousse to a variety of quiches; breads with hummus and guacamole; a range of salads from bean to pasta to rice; entrees of ratatouille\, chicken and ham and more! And\, of course from our wonderful German hosts\, authentic desserts like an Austrian tart\, an apple tart and crumble\, flourless and carrot cakes\, and wine\, coffee and tea. \n	Reservations disappear as quickly as the delicious\, freshly prepared menu for this popular annual event\, so be sure to reserve early!
