Grand Finale & Gala Reception
Saturday July 23 - - 8pm concert / pre-concert talk 7pm, Eddie Adams Farm

There's a reason this program is called the GALA GRAND FINALE! First, the musicians: Tannis Gibson, pianist; Kenneth Hamrick, harpsichordist/pianist; Nurit Pacht, violinist; Caroline Stinson, cellist; Pascal Archer, clarinetist and Judith Pearce, flutist - all have careers around the globe as leading chamber music artists. And, Andrew Waggoner is back with a pre-concert enlightenment session at 7pm. Hearing all of them in the beautiful, rustic setting of the Eddie Adams Farm on a summer night is a truly magical experience. Second, the music: Judith Pearce in her inimitable style, has created a program full of color opening with Max Reger's Serenade G and the bright, primary colors of its first movement, with the Brahms Trio for clarinet, cello and piano anchoring the first half. Opening the second half are Respighi Aria arrangements and ‘Homages’ to DeFalla and Bach by Béla Kovács, showing off the solo clarinet. The GRAND FINALE of this concert is given to Brahms' Piano Quartet in G minor. And then there are the edible treats! Plan to stay for the GALA Meet-the-Artists Reception and enjoy a light buffet of local delectables on the barn porch. Tickets are just $30; free for students 18 & under. Buy tickets here.
