Downtown Arts Day - Opening Concert & Artisans’ Craft Fair

More than 100 people turned up despite threatening skies for the free, outdoor wind concert behind the Presbyterian Church. The Blue Victorian hosted a post-concert reception, and visitors to Jeff on July 13 could also find Christmas shopping deals at the fabulous artisan’s invitational craft fair.

Café Concert with Panache!

WCM’s popular Tuesday dinner concerts were well-attended at Hills Country Inn in Callicoon Center (left), & at Settlers Inn in Hawley, PA (right).  Centered around Ken Hamrick’s fortepiano, soprano Szilvia Schranz & clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester are shown rehearsing with him at Hills, and violinist Mark Rush & cellist Caroline Stinson at Settlers. The music was superb - the food delicious!

Main Event Saturdays

The gala concerts marking centennials for Olivier Messiaen and Elliott Carter drew capacity crowds, standing ovations and excellent reviews. Click to read them! Shown left to right are violinist/violist Sunghae Anna Lim, pianist Tannis Gibson, cellist Caroline Stinson & clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester after their unforgettable performance of Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, July 19. On July 26, WCM’s tribute to Elliott Carter’s 100th birthday also brought the capacity crowd in the Eddie Adams Farm to its feet. Gala meet-the-artist receptions followed each concert, and we were delighted to have Delaware Highlands Conservancy as Catering the Muse sponsor for the first one.

Family Day at the Farm!

Music from China & Actor Paul Austin closed out the Festival on July 27 with a fascinating look at Chinese instruments, music & stories. Children created a collage to go with the music & the threatening rainstorms stayed away from this fun, outdoor grand finale!
