Music, discussion, surprises, and a (very short!) singalong, as we plumb the depths of WCM’s 2017 season!

Weekend of Chamber Music will present its first pre-festival event for the 2017 concert season, May 20th at 3:00 pm, at CAS. Sounding the Musical Soul will preview the program for this year’s festival, The Musical Soul, with discussion, performance, multi-media, and a surprise or two. Music of Brahms, Beethoven, Bach, Stravinsky, Scriabin, Domenico Gallo, Andrew Waggoner, Sufi dances, songs from The Sacred Harp, and works by this year’s Composer in Residence, Jesse Jones, will make for a wide-ranging tour of the many ways in which music moves and is moved by the spirit.
