Jack Gulielmetti is a composer and guitarist based in New York City. Born and raised in the big apple, Jack grew up playing a wide variety of music from jazz to rock to metal to electronic and classical and everything in between. He began playing guitar at the age of 9 and composing at the age of 15. He has performed with musicians such as Julian Lage, Nels Cline, Kronos Quartet, and International contemporary ensemble. At the age of 16 Jack was accepted as a composer into Juilliard’s precollege program, and now is finishing up his first year at the school as a freshman in college. He currently studies with Robert Beaser, but has also studied with Steven Stucky, Christopher Rouse, Manuel Sosa and David Conte. His music has been performed by groups such as the New York Philharmonic, JACK Quartet, The Da Capo Chamber Players, Synchronicity and Attaca Quartet. In addition to this, Jack is a part of the contemporary rock band Abby Apache.
